Most of us have a stash of lipbalm knocking about in cupboards and bags. There is such a variety of flavours out there. But how well do they actually moisturise. Most are made with a form of liquid petroleum. Although not harmful.it itself, it is a known comedogenic , that may block pores and lead to break outs.
I can not use any body lotion or cream with liquid petroleum/paraffin , as it blocks my pores and within a day I have lots of tiny spots. Not very attractive!
Liquid petroleum/paraffin is used in lots of products as it is cheap and provides a barrier from the elements. So although it will help protect your lips from future damage. If your lips are already dry, it will not moisturise them.
